This is just so ridiculous, pointless, and wasteful, to not have Plan B, aka, a stronger dose of birth control pills, available over the counter for no reason whatsoever. Oh yeah, except for that pesky wanting people to only have sex to get preggers thing. Two FDA advisory panels recommended the sale of Plan B without a prescription in December 2003. But strong opposition by religious and conservative groups and the Bush administration has delayed final agency action on the measure.

Seven states already have allowed Plan B to be sold without a prescription. They are Washington, California, Alaska, Hawaii, New Mexico, Maine and New Hampshire. In addition, morning-after pills are available in 102 countries, 34 of which require no prescription.
